Winter Romance You can bask in the romantic light of gas log fires or an outdoor bonfire, cuddle in warm blankets and experience dazzling crystal clear skies.  Leafless trees open up broader vistas and easier sightings of Brevard's famous white squirrels.  Fewer visitors in winter allow for quiet solitude while hiking or mountain biking in Dupont Forest or Pisgah Forest.  And there is nothing like viewing waterfalls gleaming with icicles and the occasional snow.  Romance, sky-gazing, solitary hikes and mild weater (average temp 40F.), make this season an absolutely magical time to visit.

Summer Adventure Warm summer days with puffy white clouds in an azure sky, drifting over the lush green mountaintops.....These are the perfect times for tubing down the Davidson River, leisurely hiking to a mountain overlook in Gorges State Park, taking a cooling dip below a misty waterfall or just stretching out on your cabin porch swing with your favorite beverage and a book.  Add to this our local festivals, Brevard Music Center's concerts, mild temperatures (avg. 74F.), and you have a perfect recipe for a refreshing summer visit.

Colorful Autumn Glorious autumn!  The mountainsides, painted with a palette fo reds, golds and greens, beckon you for a breathtaking drive on the Blue Ridge Parkway, a romantic  picnic by a ballbling stream, or a bike ride in a leaf-strewn forest.  And Halloween Fest in Transylvania County is not to be missed.  While the days are made to be filled with activities, the cooler fall evenings are especially created for lounging around a toasty bonfire making s'mores.  Whether you crave activity or relaxation, autumn is your season.
